If you own a Wii, you probably know that the Nintendo Channel went live in the U.S. yesterday. You probably got all excited and messed with it all night, right. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun.
There’s one problem though. It spies on you. You won’t even notice it, but it will note your gaming setup and console configuration s and it’ll report everything back to Nintendo. This includes TV preferences, daily playing habits, WiiConnect24 settings, and more.
It’s a little weird, but if you want to keep playing those demos on your DS, you have to leave the “information exchange” on. I wonder if there’s a little camera hidden in the sensor bar that records you too.

Art student, Marcus Blattermann was inspired by the “Real Mario” done by the guys at Pixeloo and decided to make his own…masterpiece. It’s an awesome job, all done in Photoshop, but he’s just weird looking. Almost not scary anymore. Props to the artist though.

Hell no. Nintendo knows that people are snatching their Wii systems up as soon as they hit the shelves and plenty of people are still picking up the DS daily. There’s no reason to drop the price. According to Satoru Iwata, “Our earnings projection for the year is not based on hardware price cuts, and I don’t think we are going to need them.”

Nintendo has released a list of the games that they expect to release this year for both the Nintendo Wii and the DS. There will be more than 65 new games for the Wii just in the first half of the year. Some of the more notable title’s in this list are Super Smash Bros. Brawl, No More Heroes, Mario Kart Wii, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, and Wii Fit. Check out this massive list and see when the games you are waiting for are coming. Keep in mind that this is not a full list of games coming this year.
