I guess the title says it all doesn’t it? If you own Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Playstation 3, you’ll be getting a free God of War inspired track on June 5th, as can be found (barely) in the latest Playstation Underground newsletter. Cool! I’ll definitely be downloading it, whatever song it may be. Mostly just because I’m cheap and love free stuff though.

If you plan on purchasing Grand Theft Auto IV or already have on the Xbox 360, you’ll be pleased to know that the game comes with a full free month of the Xbox Live service. Looks like Microsoft is giving all kinds of incentives to buy their version of the game.

Canadian gamers can pick up Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for free at their local Best Buys, if they purchase a Dual Shock 3 controller. Ok, so maybe it’s not entirely true, but basically. The deal is that if you buy GT5 Prologue for $40, you get a the controller for $20. But considering that the controller is normally $60, you’re saving $40. That’s the price of GT5. There’s your math lesson for the day. Anyway, that’s a really good deal. I would definitely jump on that one.

The Sims has always been a very popular franchise, but The Sims Online just didn’t make it for some reason. Well EA has decided to revive the MMO and is now offering it for free. With lots more features and all of the original content, you can’t go wrong. Check out the official site for details.

Don’t you just love the open source community? That’s where Freeciv came from and now you get to play the complete full version for free. Freeciv is an empire building strategy game that was inspired by the history of human civilization. The goal of the game is to basically to lead your tribe from way back in the times of the stone age all the way to the future of the space age. You can download the game for either Mac, Linux, or PC.
