There are some new tracks for Guitar Hero III today for the Xbox 360 and probably the Playstation 3 later today. The Coldplay Track Pack contains three songs from the band; Violet Hill, Yellow, and God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. The pack costs 500 Microsoft points, so download and mellow out.

People are saying that this video is real, and it certainly looks real, but I just can’t believe it. Anyway, this guy actually got 100% on Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce while on Expert. Holy crap, how does someone do this?

Activision has released a new track pack for Guitar Hero 3 today and it contains some of your favorite Motorhead tracks, which you can see below. This pack costs $6.25 and you can find it both on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.

I guess the title says it all doesn’t it? If you own Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Playstation 3, you’ll be getting a free God of War inspired track on June 5th, as can be found (barely) in the latest Playstation Underground newsletter. Cool! I’ll definitely be downloading it, whatever song it may be. Mostly just because I’m cheap and love free stuff though.

Amazon is having another video game day on their Gold Box Deals page and all games today are music themed. These deals should go quick, because music based games are the hot products these days. Yes, another version of Guitar Hero III is being tossed around, this time for the Blackberry. Hands-On Mobile, who brought Guitar Hero III to the mobile platform, has stated that the mobile version of the game has achieved 7.5 million song downloads in less than six months, so it seems like it’s the right decision to give even more people the option to play. As part of the licensing agreement, the game will be distributed by Magmic Games, and can be purchased via Bplay.com.

Just another reminder that 3 tracks from the band, Dropkick Murphys is available for download for free in celebration of St. Paddys Day. This is on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Guitar Hero III. Even if you aren’t into punk music, you can’t beat free and you most likely need some new songs to play anyway.

Activision has announced that in celebration of St. Patricks Day, they will be offering 3 free tracks for Guitar Hero III. This content pack contains all songs from the band, Dropkick Murphys and will be available “mid march” according to the press release. The songs are “Famous for Nothing,” “(F)lannigan’s Ball” and “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya.” I’ve actually never heard anything from this band before, but I’d still download this stuff, because hey, it’s free.
