Mass Effect for PC Delayed

Mass Effect PC

Mass Effect has already been available to Xbox 360 owners for quite some time now, so I’m sure all of you PC gamers are ready to get your hands on this great game already. Sadly, the release date of May 6th is no more. You’ll have to wait a couple more weeks. Chris Priestly, Community Coordinator of the Bioware forums has made this statement.

I have just confirmed with the development team that we are making a small change to the release date of Mass Effect for the PC. We had previously announced May 6, 2008 for North America. The new release date for North America is May 28, 2008 and June 6, 2008 in Europe.

So that sucks, but a couple of weeks will fly by in a snap, and the game will be a little more polished because of it. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.

New Mass Effect DLC

If you’re looking for a new mission in Mass Effect, “Bring Down the Sky” is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The new content will cost you 400 Microsoft Points and you get a new achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points too.

Cooper Lawrence Admits Mistake

Cooper Lawrence

Psychologist, Cooper Lawrence recently pissed of the gaming community as a whole when she appeared on Fox News’ Live Desk to speak against the popular game, Mass Effect. Basically, she made criticisms about the game without actually knowing what the game was really about. You can check out that video at the bottom of this post.

Well, after gamers everywhere took out their anger on her book on Amazon.com, she must have decided that she better save her book and future income by apologizing.

I recognize that I misspoke. I really regret saying that, and now that I’ve seen the game and seen the sex scenes it’s kind of a joke.

Before the show I had asked somebody about what they had heard, and they had said it’s like pornography. But it’s not like pornography. I’ve seen episodes of ‘Lost’ that are more sexually explicit.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Fox News was all about taking down Mass Effect from the beginning, and likely had a lot to do with what Cooper Lawrence had to say about the game. I guess this is why you should never trust Fox News to provide you with any real news, because they are pretty much all about ratings. Let’s just all boycott them, ok? Ok. Here’s the video which started this drama.
