New Killzone 2 Trailer

Time for some new footage from game surrounded by lies, Killzone 2. This video comes straight from the SCEE Playstation Day which occurred just this week. The game looks good, but nothing like they claimed. I still pick it up though

Play GRID Demo and Win a Mustang

Mustang GT-R

Why should you put away the Grand Theft Auto IV disc for a few days to play the GRID demo on the PS3 and Xbox 360? Because if you get the fastest lap in Time Attack mode, you have the chance to win a real car; a Ford Mustang GT-R. The five people with the fastest times will be flown to San Francisco for the GRID launch event and once there, they have the chance to compete to win an eBay Motors-branded Ford Mustang GT-R.

You have to actually go to Codemasters’s official GRID community site and enter your times manually though, where they will be authenticated and ranked on the online leaderboard. You have until May 25th to get those times in though, so you better start racing now. I wish I had more time to devote to this because I want that Mustang.

Playstation Store Update

Haze Artwork

Not a whole lot up there this week, but there are some good demos. You’ll most definitely want to try the Haze demo and The Bourne Conspiracy demo. Maybe you’ll even give the GRID demo a chance.

You can also pick up Rocketman: Axis of Evil for $9.99. For add-on content, you’ve got an expansion pack for PixelJunk Monsters and new tracks for Rock Band and Guitar Hero III. There’s a buttload of game videos too as well as some movie trailers, PS3 themes and wallpapers. For all the details, visit the Playstation Blog.

Killzone 2 Pushed Back to 2009

Killzone 2

Sucky news, yes, but for good reason. Killzone 2 has been announced to be getting another delay, but this time it’s because Sony didn’t want the game to compete with another huge title coming out this year, Resistance 2. I’m actually fine with that, because I plan to purchase both games and I’d rather beat one of ’em first and then go out and buy the next one. And this will probably give the Killzone 2 team some more time to throw some shine on their game before launch. If they’ll even need it, since it’s been in the works for so damn long already.

Playstation Home Will Get Here Sometime

Today at the Playstation Day keynote earlier this morning, Kaz Hirai from Sony made a disappointing announcement. Playstation Home has once again been delayed, this time to the end of the year. The reason being that he doesn’t want it to open to the public until he’s happy with it. Good idea probably. Something like that should launch completely ready so that it doesn’t just fall through the cracks and is forgotten.
