Game nerds everywhere, including me, were excited to hear the news that Dreamcast.com was doing something new. We thought that if we were the first people to sign up for whatever Sega had planned, we’d get first dibs. Well, it turns out that whatever was planned is actually a scam. Sega has announced that they don’t own dreamcast.com anymore and someone else is controlling it. Whoever owns it seems to be trying to collect personal information. The site was down when I went so I have no idea what kind of personal info they’re trying to collect, but I’m guessing it’s just email scavenging or something. Well, now you know.
