“Mature” Characters in Spore

When you give people the freedom to create and modify something in your video game, you just have to expect that there will something of the sexual nature involved. The video below anticipates some of what gamers will likely create in Spore. The video is NSFW by the way, but pretty funny, so watch at your own risk.

Two Xbox Live Originals Released Today

Team Ninja Plays Follow the Leader

Tomonobu Itagaki

Just last week, it was announced that Tomonobu Itagaki would be leaving Tecmo due to difficulties with his soon-to-be-former boss, and now it seems that his loyal team is following in his footsteps. It seems that three dozen or more other members of Team Ninja are leaving the company and all of them will be filing suit against Tecmo for unpaid bonus royalties.

This doesn’t look good for Tecmo. What makes matters even worse for Tecmo is that they might not have reported Itagaki’s lawsuit immediately when he filed it on May 24, which violates Japanese law. This is why you need to take care of your employees, or you could end up being screwed one day.

Next Weeks Rock Band DLC: Punk

Avenged Sevenfold Album Cover

Harmonix has announced the next update for Rock Band and if you like punk (new school punk, that is), you’ll like this. There will be four tracks, which will come from The Offspring, Crooked X, and Avenged Sevenfold. Here’s the list;

  • “Afterlife” by Avenged Sevenfold
  • “Critical Acclaim” by Avenged Sevenfold
  • Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream” by Crooked X
  • “Hammerhead” by The Offspring

Another Full Album Coming to Rock Band

The Pixies Dolittle Cover

Joining The Cars and Judas Priest, a full album from the Pixies will be hitting Rock Band Soon. Harmonix announced that their album, Doolittle, will be available for download on June 17 for the Xbox 360 and June 19 on the Playstation 3.

There are 14 tracks altogether which can be purchased at $2 each or you can buy the full album for $19. That’s a lot of cash for one album, but hey, if you’re a Rock Band Fanatic, or Pixies fanatic too, it might be worth it to you.

Playstation Store Update: Quake Wars Edition

Again, there isn’t much but there still is some good stuff this week. You can pick up Syphon Filter 3 from the PS1 for $5.99, and there some add-on content for Army of Two, Guitar Hero III, and Rock Band. There’s also a demo for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, which I’m excited to play. The rest of the stuff consists of a bunch of game videos, a blu-ray trailer, and two PS3 Themes.

For the PSP, you can purchase full games of Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter 3 and you can download a free theme, wallpaper and some game music. Visit the Playstation Blog for complete details.

Street Fighter II HD Beta Coming Soon

Did you purchase Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 on the Xbox Live Arcade yet? It was just released yesterday, so you might not have, but you’ll probably want to. If you purchase the game, you’ll be give access to the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta test.

From what I understand, the game will only feature Ryu and Ken and only a single stage for eight weeks, but if you love beta tests, show Capcom what you got. The beta starts on June 25, and will be available only for Xbox 360 owners. Here’s a gameplay video from Commando 3, so you that you can decide if you want to pick up the game. You will.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Review

Did you pick up MGS4 at midnight last night? I didn’t, but I really wanted to. I haven’t even beaten the third one yet actually. I own it, but I haven’t had the time to play it. Once I get to it, I’ll buy MGS4 though. Anyway, here’s a video review of the game.
